जम्बुमालिवधः
The Slaying of Jambumali
तस्य चैव शिरो नास्ति न बाहू न च जानुनी।न धनुर्न रथो नाश्वास्तत्रादृश्यन्त नेषवः।।।।
tasya caiva śiro nāsti na bāhū na ca jānunī | na dhanur na ratho nāśvās tatrādṛśyanta neṣavaḥ ||
そこには首も、腕も、膝も見えず、弓も戦車も馬もなく、矢すら見当たらない――何ひとつ判別できなかった。
Neither his head could be discerned nor his arms, knees, nor bow, chariot nor donkeys. Nothing was seen.
It underscores impermanence and consequence: pride and aggression collapse suddenly; worldly power (weapons, chariot, display) can vanish in an instant.
After Hanumān’s blow, Jāmbumālin’s form and equipment are described as no longer discernible—indicating total destruction and defeat.
By contrast, Hanumān’s overwhelming capability in service of duty is emphasized—power subordinated to a mission.
