कुशनाभकन्याशतविवाहः — The Marriage of Kuśanābha’s Hundred Daughters
and the Birth of Brahmadatta
यथाक्रमं तत: पाणीन् जग्राह रघुनन्दन।ब्रह्मदत्तो महीपालस्तासां देवपतिर्यथा।।1.33.22।।
yathākramaṁ tataḥ pāṇīn jagrāha raghunandana |
brahmadatto mahīpālas tāsāṁ devapatir yathā ||1.33.22||
そののち、ラグ族の喜びよ、王ブラフマダッタは定めの順に彼女らの手を取り、まるで帝釈天が女神たちを迎えるがごとくであった。
O son of Raghu's dynasty! that king Brahmadatta resembling Indra received the hands of those maidens' in due order.
Marriage is shown as a regulated rite (maryādā) done ‘in due order,’ emphasizing social and ritual propriety.
Brahmadatta performs the marriage acceptance (taking the hand) with the hundred daughters sequentially.
Orderliness and adherence to prescribed conduct—dharma expressed through correct procedure.
