「そしてシーターもまた――ヴィデーハ王ジャナカの娘、見るも麗しく、愛され、ダシャラタにとっても愛しい嫁であるその方が――地に臥された。」
Sita, daughter of Janaka, king of Videha, and beloved daughter-in-law of Dasaratha who caused delight to the beholder, too had to rest on the bare ground.
Shared dharma in adversity: Sītā’s willingness to accept hardship alongside Rāma reflects fidelity, integrity, and steadfastness in righteous living.
Bharata observes the forest bedding and realizes that not only Rāma but Sītā also endured sleeping on bare ground.
Sītā’s steadfast devotion and resilience—she accepts austere life without abandoning righteousness.
