またここには聖なるスーリヤの森があり、さらに清らかなマドゥの森もある。名高きシーターの森もまた、人々の罪垢を滅する。
Narada (narration within a Tirtha-Mahatmya section of the Uttara-Bhaga)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It praises specific sacred groves—Sūryavana, Madhuvana, and Sītāvana—as powerful tīrtha-zones whose very association grants puṇya and removes kalmaṣa (moral impurity), emphasizing purification through holy geography (tīrtha-māhātmya).
By directing attention to sanctified places linked with divine presence and fame, it supports bhakti in practice: pilgrimage, remembrance, and reverent visitation become concrete acts of devotion that lead to inner cleansing.
No specific Vedāṅga (like Vyākaraṇa or Jyotiṣa) is taught directly; the practical takeaway is dharma-śāstric application—tīrtha-yātrā and associated purification (prāyaścitta) as recognized disciplines of religious practice.
