निक्षिप्तमात्रे सलिले महीप सद्यः प्रजज्वाल च तच्छरीरम् । संपश्यतां नाकनिवासिनां तु तृण्या यथा वह्निशिखावलीढा ॥ ८५ ॥

nikṣiptamātre salile mahīpa sadyaḥ prajajvāla ca taccharīram | saṃpaśyatāṃ nākanivāsināṃ tu tṛṇyā yathā vahniśikhāvalīḍhā || 85 ||

王よ、彼が水に投げ込まれたその瞬間、天の住人たちの目の前で、炎の舌に舐められた草のように、彼の体は突然燃え上がりました。

It depicts an immediate, unmistakable karmic or divine reaction: even water cannot conceal the ripening of deeds, and the cosmos (including heavenly witnesses) reveals the moral order (dharma) through visible signs.

By contrast: the verse shows the terrifying speed of consequences when one is opposed to dharma; in Narada’s broader teaching, bhakti to Vishnu is presented as the purifying refuge that cools the inner ‘fire’ of sin and suffering through remembrance, surrender, and righteous conduct.
