नापरं कामये राज्यं वसुधां वसु किंचन । मुक्त्वैवं वासरे विष्णोर्भोजनं पापनाशने ॥ ३ ॥
nāparaṃ kāmaye rājyaṃ vasudhāṃ vasu kiṃcana | muktvaivaṃ vāsare viṣṇorbhojanaṃ pāpanāśane || 3 ||
「私は他の何ものも望まぬ――王権も、大地も、いかなる財も。ゆえにヴィシュヌの聖日に食を断つ。これは罪を滅するヴラタ(誓戒)である。」
