vācyaṃ tu paramaṃ brahma vācakaḥ praṇavaḥ smṛtaḥ | vācyavācakasaṃbandho hyupacārāttayordvijā || 57 ||
至上ブラフマンは指示されるもの(ヴァーチャ)であり、プラナヴァ「オーム」はそれを指示するもの(ヴァーチャカ)と記憶される。おお二度生まれの者たちよ、両者の関係は慣用による仮の言説として語られる。
