Nārada’s Hymn to Viṣṇu
Nāradasya Viṣṇu-stavaḥ
अणोरणीयांसमजं महतश्च महत्तरम् । गुह्याद्गुह्यतमं देवं प्रणमामि पुनः पुनः ॥ ५४ ॥
aṇoraṇīyāṃsamajaṃ mahataśca mahattaram | guhyādguhyatamaṃ devaṃ praṇamāmi punaḥ punaḥ || 54 ||
われは幾度も幾度も、その神にひれ伏す――最微の原子よりなお微細にして不生、偉大なるものよりなお偉大、あらゆる秘奥のうち最も秘なる御方に。
Narada (invocatory praise within the narrative frame)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It identifies the Supreme as simultaneously immanent and transcendent—subtler than the tiniest and greater than the greatest—then prescribes repeated surrender through praṇāma as a direct devotional orientation toward moksha.
Bhakti is expressed as continual reverence: “again and again I bow.” The verse teaches that the devotee approaches the ineffable (guhyāt guhyatamam) not by argument but by humble, repeated surrender to the Supreme Deity (understood in the Purana’s theology as Vishnu).
No specific Vedanga procedure is taught in this shloka; its practical takeaway is the ritual-devotional act of praṇāma (prostration) as a daily discipline supporting jñāna and bhakti.
