Brāhma Purāṇānukramaṇikā
पुराणमेकमेवासीत्सर्वकल्पेषु मानद । चतुर्वर्गस्य बीजं च शतकोटिप्रविस्तरम् ॥ २२ ॥
purāṇamekamevāsītsarvakalpeṣu mānada | caturvargasya bījaṃ ca śatakoṭipravistaram || 22 ||
おお誉れを授ける御方よ、あらゆるカルパにおいて、初めにはプラーナはただ一つであった。それは人生の四目的（ダルマ・アルタ・カーマ・モークシャ）の種子であり、百コーティに及ぶほど広大であった。
