Adhyaya 35 — Madālasa’s Instruction on Purity, Impurity, and Corrective Rites (Śauca and Aśauca)
pratodadaṇḍau ca tathā samyag varṇāḥ kṛtakriyāḥ /
svavarṇadharmanirdiṣṭam upādānaṃ tathā kriyāḥ

Ritual life and social duty are coordinated: once purification and rites are completed, one returns to rightful responsibilities with proper instruments and conduct.
Normative dharma instruction; not a pañcalakṣaṇa category.
‘Staff and goad’ can be read as symbols of self-governance and direction: discipline (daṇḍa) and impetus (pratoda) applied first inwardly, then outwardly in action.
