कैलासशू्ज्गसंकाशोौ श्वेतमाल्यानुलेपनौ । सोमो>प्यनुचरीौ प्रादान्मर्णिं सुमणिमेव च
vaiśampāyana uvāca | kailāsaśṛṅgasaṅkāśau śvetamālyānulepanau | somo 'py anucarīau prādān maṇiṃ sumaṇim eva ca | rudrair vasubhir ādityair aśvibhyāṃ ca vṛtaḥ prabhuḥ |
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは語った。「カイラーサの峰々のごとく輝き、白き花鬘と白き香膏をまとい、さらにソーマ(月神)からも従者と燦然たる宝珠を捧げられて讃えられたその大いなる主は、ルドラたち、ヴァスたち、アーディティヤたち、そして双子のアシュヴィンに囲まれて立っていた。この段は、神威とは孤高の支配ではなく、恭敬の供物と秩序ある随従によって認められるものだと示し、宇宙の階序と群神の合一の礼拝を描き出している。」
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharmic order expressed through reverence: even powerful beings honor a greater presence by offerings and respectful attendance, suggesting that true greatness is acknowledged within a structured cosmic hierarchy rather than asserted through force alone.
A majestic divine figure—described as shining like Kailāsa and adorned in white garlands and unguents—is honored by Soma with attendants and a precious gem, while groups of gods (Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvins) stand around him in a surrounding retinue.
