ततो हिमवता दत्ते मणिप्रवरशोभिते । दिव्यरत्नाचिते पुण्ये निषण्णं परमासने
tato himavatā datte maṇipravaraśobhite | divyaratnācite puṇye niṣaṇṇaṃ paramāsane ||
ついで彼は、ヒマヴァットが授けた至高の座—優れた宝石に輝き、天上の珠玉をちりばめ、吉祥と仰がれる—その最上の玉座に着いた。戦の陰鬱な只中にあってなお、王権の威厳と聖なる正統性を語り、権威はただの力ではなく、灌頂され整えられた基盤から行使されるべきだと示している。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights that legitimate rule and decisive action should rest on an auspicious, consecrated foundation—symbolized by the sacred, jewel-adorned throne—rather than on raw violence alone, even in wartime.
Vaiśaṃpāyana describes someone taking his seat upon a supreme throne said to be bestowed by Himavat, richly decorated with gems and divine jewels, marking a formal, elevated moment in the unfolding events.
