Kārttikeya-Abhiṣecana: Mātṛgaṇa-Nāma Saṃkīrtana and Skanda’s Commission
बहुलत्वाच्च नोक्ता ये विविधा देवतागणा: । ते कुमाराभिषेकार्थ समाजग्मुस्ततस्तत:
bahulatvācca noktā ye vividhā devatāgaṇāḥ | te kumārābhiṣekārthaṃ samājagmustatastataḥ || rudrairvasubhirādityairaśvibhyāṃ ca vṛtaḥ prabhuḥ ||
ヴァイサンパーヤナは語った。あまりに数が多いため、さまざまな神々の群れはここにすべて名を挙げることができない。だが彼らは皆、四方八方より来集し、クマーラ(カールッティケーヤ)の灌頂(アビシェーカ)のために集った。主はルドラ、ヴァス、アーディティヤ、双子のアシュヴィンに囲まれて立ち、神々の共同体は敬虔な秩序のうちに集まり、彼を讃え、位に据えようとした。
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how legitimate authority and honor are affirmed through collective recognition and proper ritual: even divine power is publicly established by orderly assembly, reverence, and consecration.
A vast multitude of gods gathers from all directions to perform the abhiṣeka (consecration) of Kumāra (Kārttikeya). He is depicted standing encircled by major divine classes—Rudras, Vasus, Ādityas, and the Aśvin twins—signaling a grand, universally endorsed installation.
