Adhyāya 141 — Night duels: Śaineya and Bhūriśravas; Droṇi and Ghaṭotkaca; Bhīma and Duryodhana
anyonyaśarasaṁsparśāt tayoḥ manuṣasiṁhayoḥ
The verse highlights the Kṣatriya ideal of steadfastness in battle: when conflict becomes immediate and unavoidable, a warrior is measured by composure, courage, and commitment to duty rather than by hesitation or fear.
Sañjaya describes two heroic fighters engaging so closely that their arrows meet and clash; the imagery signals an intense duel where both combatants press each other without yielding.
