Droṇa’s Ācārya-Dakṣiṇā: Capture of Drupada and Division of Pāñcāla (द्रोण-आचार्यदक्षिणा)
मा द्राक्षीस्त्वं कुलस्यास्य घोरं संक्षयमात्मन: । तथेति समनुज्ञाय सा प्रविश्याब्रवीत् स्नुषाम्
mā drākṣīs tvaṁ kulasyāsya ghoraṁ saṁkṣayam ātmanaḥ | tatheti samanujñāya sā praviśyābravīt snuṣām ||
ヴァイシャンパーヤナは言った。「この一族の恐るべき滅亡を、そなた自身の目で見てはならぬ。」 彼女は「そのとおりに」と承して内へ入り、嫁に語りかけた—迫り来る破局を目撃することの道義の重荷と悲嘆から、家の者を救わんがためであった。
