एकार्णव-सृष्टिक्रमः, ब्रह्म-विष्णु-परस्परप्रवेशः, शिवस्य आगमनं च
भाषसे पुरुषश्रेष्ठ किमर्थं ब्रूहि तत्त्वतः एवं ब्रुवाणं देवेशं लोकयात्रानुगं ततः
bhāṣase puruṣaśreṣṭha kimarthaṃ brūhi tattvataḥ evaṃ bruvāṇaṃ deveśaṃ lokayātrānugaṃ tataḥ
「生類のうち最勝なる者よ、何のために語るのか。真実に、タットヴァに即して告げよ。」かくして、諸世界の定められた道行きに随って働く देवेश(神々の主)に語りかけ、彼らはさらに問いを重ねた。
