ईशानकल्पवृत्तान्तः तथा लैङ्गपुराणस्य संक्षेप-सूची

वैन्येन पृथुना भूमेः पुरा दोहप्रवर्तनम् देवासुरे पुरा लब्धो भृगुशापश् च विष्णुना

vainyena pṛthunā bhūmeḥ purā dohapravartanam devāsure purā labdho bhṛguśāpaś ca viṣṇunā

昔、ヴェーナの子プリトゥは、大地を「乳搾り」することを起こし、世のためにその養いを引き出した。また古の時、デーヴァとアスラが争った折には、ヴィシュヌでさえブリグの呪いを負った――これは、ダルマと宇宙の法の働きが、身をもつあらゆる力を、至上の主パティ(内なる統御者)のもとに結び留めることを示す。
