黄金のリンガに敬礼し、黄金なる御方に敬礼する。水のリンガに敬礼し、水そのものに敬礼する。シヴァとシヴァ・リンガに敬礼する——万有を遍満し、広大なる虚空をも遍満する御方に。
Suta Goswami (narrating a traditional Linga-stotra within the Purva-Bhaga discourse)
It frames the Liṅga as both a consecrated icon (Śiva-Liṅga) and a cosmic principle present in elements like gold and water, guiding the devotee to worship the visible Liṅga while realizing Śiva’s omnipresence.
Śiva is praised as Vyāpin and Vyomavyāpin—Pati who pervades all tattvas and even ākāśa—showing that the Lord transcends limitation while remaining immanent in the world as the Liṅga.
It supports Liṅga-pūjā with elemental contemplation (bhūta-bhāvanā): offering and meditating on Śiva as present in sacred substances (e.g., water) and as the all-pervading Reality, aligning worship with Pāśupata-style inner recollection of Pati.
