FAQs

It introduces prativeda-karmāṇi—ritual duties classified “according to each Veda,” beginning with Ṛgvidhāna, i.e., the procedural method for Ṛgvedic rites.

By cataloging practical disciplines (here, Veda-based ritual procedures) in a systematic, instructional sequence—starting with the Ṛgveda—Agni Purana functions as a compendium that organizes diverse śāstric knowledges into usable manuals.

The verse frames correct Veda-aligned performance as yielding both bhukti (legitimate worldly fruition) and mukti (liberation), presenting ritual orthopraxy as a bridge between prosperity and ultimate release.
