FAQs

A practical griha-rakṣā (house-protection) procedure: casting specific items (stone and clod) to the four directions as an apotropaic measure to avert theft at night.

It preserves applied domestic ritual technology—small, actionable protective rites—alongside the Purana’s broader coverage of dharma, worship manuals, and pragmatic household procedures.

It frames security as a dharmic, ritually maintained order of the home: directional protection and simple consecratory acts are treated as means to remove harmful influences and ensure peace at night.
