Chapter 347: One-syllable Appellations (एकाक्षराभिधानम्)
सीमायामथाव्ययं आ भवेत्संक्रोधपीडयोः इः कामे रतिलक्ष्म्योरी उः शिवे रक्षकाद्य ऊः
sīmāyāmathāvyayaṃ ā bhavetsaṃkrodhapīḍayoḥ iḥ kāme ratilakṣmyorī uḥ śive rakṣakādya ūḥ
『ā』は不変化詞(avyaya)で、「境界・限界の内に」という義に用いられる。激しい怒り、また圧迫・苦悩の義には『iḥ』を用いる。欲(kāma)の義、ならびにラティとラクシュミーを指すときは『ī』を用いる。吉祥の義(シヴァ)、および守護者などを指すときは『uḥ』『ūḥ』を用いる。
