Concept: Śabda as a coded carrier of meaning (varṇa→devatā/artha) within a traditional phonemic cosmology (Mātr̥kā).

Application: Use as a mnemonic lexicon for composition, ritual naming, and interpretive glossing of terse syllabic references.

FAQs

It introduces an ekākṣara-abhidhāna list—single-syllable semantic/ritual designations linked with the Mātr̥kā (alphabet), beginning with the mapping of ‘a’ to Viṣṇu.

It shifts from kavya-doṣa analysis to a compact linguistic-lexical catalogue (phonemes, one-syllable names, and deity/semantic assignments), showing the text’s breadth across poetics, phonetics, and traditional nomenclature systems.

By linking phonemes (Mātr̥kā) and sacred designations to deities (e.g., ‘a’ with Viṣṇu), it frames sound/letter-knowledge as a sacred taxonomy used for disciplined recitation, remembrance, and ritually “correct” naming.
