तत्र सा ब्राह्म॒णं गत्वा पृथा शौचपरा सती । विधिवत् परिचारह॑ देववत् पर्यतोषयत्,बाहर-भीतरसे शुद्ध हो सती-साध्वी पृथा उन पूजनीय ब्राह्मणके पास जाकर देवताकी भाँति उनकी विधिवत् आराधना करके उन्हें पूर्णरूपसे संतुष्ट रखने लगी
tatra sā brāhmaṇaṃ gatvā pṛthā śaucaparā satī | vidhivat paricāraṃ devavat paryatoṣayat ||
There, Pṛthā (Kuntī)—a virtuous woman devoted to purity—went to the revered brāhmaṇa and, serving him in the prescribed manner as one would serve a deity, kept him fully pleased. The episode underscores an ethic of dharma expressed through disciplined conduct, cleanliness, humility, and reverent service to the worthy.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is practiced through disciplined conduct: maintaining śauca (inner and outer purity) and offering respectful, rule-guided service (vidhivat paricaryā) to the worthy—treating such service as sacred (devavat).
Pṛthā goes to a revered brāhmaṇa and attends upon him properly, with purity and devotion, ensuring that he remains fully satisfied.
