निक्षिप्य राजपुत्री तु तन्द्री मानं तथैव च | आतस्थे परम यत्नं ब्राह्मणस्याभिराधने,राजकुमारी कुन्ती आलस्य और अभिमानको दूर भगाकर ब्राह्मणकी आराधनामें बड़े यत्नसे संलग्न हो गयी
nikṣipya rājaputrī tu tandrī-mānaṃ tathaiva ca | ātasthē parama-yatnaṃ brāhmaṇasyābhirādhane ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Having cast aside her drowsiness and her pride, the princess set herself with the utmost effort to the respectful service and propitiation of the brāhmaṇa. Ethically, the verse highlights self-discipline and humility as prerequisites for rightly approaching sacred power and spiritual authority.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
One should abandon laziness and pride and approach spiritual authority with humility and sustained effort; inner discipline is presented as the ethical foundation for any sacred undertaking.
The princess (contextually Kuntī) overcomes her lethargy and arrogance and earnestly engages in pleasing and serving a brāhmaṇa, indicating a deliberate turn toward disciplined, respectful conduct.
