tatrāgniśaraṇe klṛptam āsanaṃ tasya bhānumat | āhārādi ca sarva tat tathaiva pratyavedayat |
Vaiśampāyana said: There, in the fire-sanctuary (the agnihotra-house), a radiant and fitting seat was arranged for him. Likewise, all provisions—food and the rest—were duly presented to him, reflecting the host’s careful observance of hospitality and proper conduct.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights dharma expressed as proper hospitality: honoring a guest with a suitable seat and providing necessities, especially within a ritually significant space, showing respect, restraint, and social-ethical duty.
In the agnihotra-house, arrangements are made for the guest: a shining seat is prepared and all food and related provisions are formally presented, indicating a careful reception according to custom.
