हिंस्यात्‌ क्रोधादवध्यांस्तु वध्यान्‌ सम्पूजयीत च । आत्मानमपि च क्रुद्धः प्रेषयेद्‌ यमसादनम्‌,क्रोधवश वह अवध्य पुरुषोंकी भी हत्या कर सकता है और वधके योग्य मनुष्योंकी भी पूजामें तत्पर हो सकता है। इतना ही नहीं, क्रोधी मानव (आत्महत्याद्वारा) अपने-आपको भी यमलोकका अतिथि बना सकता है

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | hiṁsyāt krodhād avadhyāṁs tu vadhyān sampūjayīta ca | ātmānam api ca kruddhaḥ preṣayed yamasādanam ||

Yudhiṣṭhira said: ‘Driven by anger, a man may even harm those who ought not to be harmed, and may perversely honor those who deserve punishment. Indeed, when seized by wrath, he may even send his own self to Yama’s abode (through self-destruction).’
