Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Thus has Kāśyapa continually sung this verse for those who are steadfast in forgiveness. Draupadī, having heard this teaching on forbearance, be at peace and do not give way to anger.”
युधिछिर उवाच
The verse urges kṣamā—patient forbearance and forgiveness—as a central dharmic virtue, advising that anger should be restrained and replaced with inner contentment after reflecting on ethical instruction.
Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Draupadī, reminding her of a didactic stanza attributed to Kāśyapa that praises forgiveness, and he counsels her to be appeased and not succumb to anger in their difficult circumstances.
