यस्मात्‌ तु लोके दृश्यन्ते क्षमिण: पृथिवीसमा: । तस्माज्जन्म च भूतानां भवश्च प्रतिपद्यते,इस जगतमें पृथ्वीके समान क्षमाशील पुरुष भी देखे जाते हैं, इसीलिये प्राणियोंकी उत्पत्ति और वृद्धि होती रहती है

Transliteration

yasmāt tu loke dṛśyante kṣamiṇaḥ pṛthivīsamāḥ | tasmāj janma ca bhūtānāṃ bhavaś ca pratipadyate ||

Translation

Because, in this world, there are seen forgiving men who are like the earth in their forbearance, therefore the birth of living beings and the continuance of their growth and becoming proceed without interruption. Forgiveness, steady and sustaining like the earth, is presented as a condition that allows life and society to endure.
