भाईके ऐसा कहनेपर गुरुजनोंकी आज्ञाके पालन तथा हिताचरणमें तत्पर रहनेवाले लक्ष्मण बाण और प्रत्यज्चासहित सुन्दर धनुष हाथमें लेकर वहाँसे चल दिये ।। किष्किन्धाव्दारमासाद्य प्रविवेशानिवारित: । सक्रोध इति त॑ मत्वा राजा प्रत्युद्ययौ हरि:,किष्किन्धाके द्वारपर पहुँचकर वे बेरोक-टोक भीतर घुस गये। लक्ष्मण क्रोधमें भरे हुए आ रहे हैं, यह जानकर राजा सुग्रीव उनकी अगवानीके लिये आगे बढ़ आया

kiṣkindhādvāram āsādya praviveśānivāritaḥ | sa-krodha iti taṁ matvā rājā pratyudyayau hariḥ ||

Reaching the gate of Kiṣkindhā, he entered without being stopped. Realizing, “He is coming in anger,” the monkey-king Sugrīva went forward to receive him—an act meant to avert conflict through timely respect and conciliation.
