Vaiśampāyana said: When this had been spoken, the heroes turned their faces toward Vāsudeva and stood attentive before him. In their midst, the mighty-armed Keśava addressed them with words—signaling that counsel grounded in dharma and prudent action was about to be given in response to the situation at hand.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical posture of attentive listening to wise counsel: the warriors turn toward Kṛṣṇa and stand ready to receive guidance, implying that right action (dharma) in complex situations begins with humility, deliberation, and seeking sound leadership.
After a prior statement has been made, the assembled heroes look toward Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva). Seated among them, Kṛṣṇa—called Keśava and described as mighty-armed—begins to speak, marking a transition to his advice or decision.
