ततः सर्वगुणोपेतमन्नं दद्यात् सुसंस्कृतम् । ऐषीकपर्वमें पहले घी मिलाया हुआ भात जिमाये। फिर अच्छी तरह संस्कार किये हुए सर्वगुणसम्पन्न अन्नका दान करे
tataḥ sarvaguṇopetam annaṁ dadyāt susaṁskṛtam |
Then one should offer well-prepared food, endowed with all good qualities. In ethical terms, the teaching emphasizes that charity is not merely the act of giving, but giving that is properly prepared, wholesome, and fit to honor the recipient—thereby making the gift dharmically complete.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
That dāna (charitable giving) should be done with care and excellence: food offered in charity must be properly prepared and of good quality, so the giver’s intention is matched by the worthiness of the gift.
Vaiśampāyana continues a prescriptive passage describing meritorious conduct, here instructing that one should give well-prepared, high-quality food as a righteous act.
