Svargārohaṇa-parva Adhyāya 2 — Yudhiṣṭhira’s Inquiry for His Kin and the Vision of a Punitive Realm
वैशम्पायन उवाच इत्युक्त्वा त॑ ततो देवा देवदूतमुपादिशन् । युधिष्ठटिरस्य सुहृदो दर्शयेति परंतप,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--शत्रुओंको संताप देनेवाले जनमेजय! युधिष्ठिरसे ऐसा कहकर देवताओंने देवदूतको आज्ञा दी--'तुम युधिष्ठिरको इनके सुहृदोंका दर्शन कराओ'
vaiśampāyana uvāca | ity uktvā tu tato devā devadūtam upādiśan | yudhiṣṭhirasya suhṛdo darśayeti parantapa ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Having spoken thus, the gods then instructed their divine messenger: “O scorcher of foes, show Yudhiṣṭhira the sight of his dear friends.” The verse underscores a moral reassurance: the righteous are not left in isolation, and divine order responds by granting consoling vision and recognition of loved ones after the trials of life.
