धृतराष्ट्रस्य मूर्च्छा—व्यासोपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Collapse and Vyāsa’s Counsel
कार्यार्थमुपसम्प्राप्ता देवतानां समीपत: । अनघ! वहाँ नारद आदि समस्त देवर्षि भी उपस्थित थे। पृथ्वीनाथ! मैंने वहीं इस पृथ्वीको भी देखा, जो किसी कार्यके लिये देवताओंके पास गयी थी
kāryārtham upasamprāptā devatānāṃ samīpataḥ | anagha! tatra nārada-ādi-samastadevarṣayo 'pi upasthitāḥ āsan | pṛthvīnātha! aham api tatraiva imāṃ pṛthivīm apaśyam, yā kasyacid kāryasya kṛte devatānāṃ samīpaṃ gatā āsīt |
Vyāsa said: “For the sake of a certain task, she had come into the presence of the gods. O sinless one, there too were present Nārada and all the divine seers. O lord of the earth, I also beheld the Earth herself there—she had gone to the gods to seek the fulfillment of a purpose.”
व्यास उवाच
Even the Earth, burdened by events and moral disorder, seeks resolution through divine counsel; this underscores that dharma is upheld not merely by human power but by alignment with a larger cosmic and ethical order.
Vyāsa describes a divine assembly: the Earth has approached the gods for a specific purpose, and Nārada along with other divine seers are present; Vyāsa reports that he witnessed this scene.
