तैजसं नाम तत्‌ तीर्थ यत्र पूर्वमपां पति: । अभिषिक्त: सुरगणैर्वरुणो भरतर्षभ,भरतश्रेष्ठ)]ी वह तैजस नामका तीर्थ है, जहाँ पहले जलके स्वामी वरुणदेवका देवताओंद्वारा अभिषेक किया गया था

taijasaṃ nāma tat tīrthaṃ yatra pūrvam apāṃ patiḥ | abhiṣiktaḥ suragaṇair varuṇo bharatarṣabha ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “That sacred ford is called Taijasa. There, in ancient times, Varuṇa—the lord of the waters—was consecrated by the hosts of gods, O bull among the Bharatas.”
