Kṛpa’s Counsel and Drauṇi’s Sleepless Resolve

Kṛpa said: “Rest now, free from agitation, and sleep comfortably through this night. When you set out tomorrow for battle, O best of men, both I and Kṛtavarmā—bow in hand—will go together behind you, bringing torment to the enemies.”
The verse emphasizes composure and preparedness: a warrior-leader should rest and act without agitation, while allies pledge disciplined support for the coming action.
Kṛpa advises Aśvatthāmā to stop rushing, rest for the night, and assures him that he and Kṛtavarmā will accompany him the next day as he sets out to confront the enemies.
