Educational Q&A

The verse highlights an ideal of contentment and dharmic well-being: when life is aligned with order and purity, even simple natural resources become sufficient, comfortable, and life-supporting—encouraging restraint, simplicity, and harmony rather than excess.

Nārada is describing a time/region of extraordinary ease and auspiciousness where even darbha grass appears golden and provides comfort; people use it both for clothing and for bedding, indicating a self-sustaining, peaceful social condition.
