Karṇa and Arjuna’s Intensified Engagement

samājam iva tac citraṁ prekṣamāṇā mahārathāḥ | nālakṣayan jayaṁ vyaktam ekasyaiva mahāraṇe ||

Sañjaya said: Watching that astonishing scene, like a wondrous assembly, the great chariot-warriors could not clearly discern a definite victory for either one alone in that vast battle. The moment underscores how, amid the moral and physical chaos of war, even seasoned heroes can lose certainty about outcomes and justice, seeing only the terrible balance of force and fate.
