Chapter 47: Krauñca-vyūha Deployment and Conch-Signals

Kaurava–Pāṇḍava Readiness

अथ तान्‌ समभिप्रेक्ष्य युयुत्सुरिदमब्रवीत्‌ । प्रीतात्मा धर्मराजानं कुन्तीपुत्रं युधिष्ठिरम्‌,उस समय आपके पुत्र युयुत्सुने पाण्डवोंकी ओर देखकर प्रसन्नचित्त हो धर्मराज कुन्तीपुत्र युधिष्ठिरसे इस प्रकार कहा--

atha tān samabhiprekṣya yuyutsur idam abravīt | prītātmā dharmarājānaṃ kuntīputraṃ yudhiṣṭhiram ||

Then, looking closely at them (the Pāṇḍavas), Yuyutsu—his heart filled with gladness—spoke these words to Dharmarāja Yudhiṣṭhira, the son of Kuntī. The moment underscores a deliberate ethical alignment: he turns toward the side he recognizes as grounded in dharma and addresses its foremost exemplar.
