अथ सैन्यस्य मध्ये तु प्राक्रोशत्‌ पाण्डवाग्रज: । यो<स्मान्‌ वृणोति तमहं वरये साह्कारणात्‌,तदनन्तर ज्येष्ठ पाण्डव युधिष्ठिरने सेनाके बीचमें खड़े होकर पुकारा--“जो कोई वीर सहायताके लिये हमारे पक्षमें आना स्वीकार करे, उसे मैं भी स्वीकार करूँगा”

atha sainyasya madhye tu prākrośat pāṇḍavāgrajaḥ | yo ’smān vṛṇoti tam ahaṃ varaye sahakāraṇāt ||

Then, standing in the midst of the army, the eldest of the Pāṇḍavas cried aloud: “Whoever chooses to side with us, him I accept and choose in return—as an ally and support.”
