The verse highlights disciplined, repeated public signaling—an image of orderly governance and ritual procedure, where communal actions are coordinated through clear, consistent announcements.
A great drum is being beaten repeatedly with a thunder-like roar, and it continues to sound day after day, indicating an ongoing public proclamation or sustained ritual/royal activity in the Ashvamedhika context.
