Garuḍa’s Breach of the Amṛta-Guard and Boons with Viṣṇu; Encounter with Indra (Ādi-parva, Adhyāya 29)

ततो<पश्यत्‌ स पितरं पृष्टश्चाख्यातवान्‌ पितुः । यथान्यायममेयात्मा तं चोवाच महानृषि:,तदनन्तर उन्हें अपने पिता कश्यपजीका दर्शन हुआ। उनके पूछनेपर अमेयात्मा गरुडने पितासे यथोचित कुशल-समाचार कहा। महर्षि कश्यप उनसे इस प्रकार बोले

tato ’paśyat sa pitaraṃ pṛṣṭaś cākhyātavān pituḥ | yathānyāyam ameyātmā taṃ covāca mahān ṛṣiḥ ||

Then Garuḍa beheld his father. When questioned, the immeasurable-souled one reported to him, in a manner befitting propriety, his welfare and circumstances. Thereupon the great sage Kaśyapa addressed him in these words.
