The verse highlights gṛhastha-dharma: after completing auspicious rites, a new bride should approach elders with humility, offer respectful salutations, and stand with self-restraint and reverence—signaling ethical conduct within the family.
Draupadī, dressed in fine cloth and having completed the customary auspicious observances, bows to her mother-in-law and then stands before her with folded hands, pleased and respectful.
