Karna’s Counsel on Strategy toward the Pāṇḍavas
वैशग्पायन उवाच ते समेत्य तत: सर्वे कथयन्ति सम भारत । अथ द्वैपायनो राजन्नभ्यागच्छद् यदृच्छया,वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--भारत! तदनन्तर वे सब लोग मिलकर इस विषयमें सलाह करने लगे। राजन! इसी समय भगवान् वेदव्यास वहाँ अकस्मात् आ पहुँचे
Vaiśampāyana uvāca | te sametya tataḥ sarve kathayanti sma Bhārata | atha Dvaipāyano rājann abhyāgacchad yadṛcchayā ||
Vaiśampāyana said: “O Bhārata, after that, all of them gathered together and began deliberating on the matter. Just then, O king, Dvaipāyana (Vyāsa) arrived there unexpectedly, as if by chance.”
वैशग्पायन उवाच
Collective deliberation is shown as a proper response to uncertainty, and the sudden arrival of Vyāsa suggests that wise counsel and dharmic guidance can appear at crucial moments, as if providentially.
After an earlier development, the concerned people assemble and discuss the issue together; at that very time Vyāsa (Dvaipāyana) unexpectedly arrives, setting the stage for authoritative guidance.
