इत्येवमुक्त्वा राजान: सहसा दुद्रुवुर्द्धिजान । ततः: कर्णो महातेजा जिष्णुं प्रति ययौ रणे,यों कहकर वे राजालोग सहसा ब्राह्मणोंकी ओर दौड़े। महातेजस्वी कर्ण अर्जुनकी ओर युद्धके लिये बढ़ा

ity evam uktvā rājānaḥ sahasā dudruvur dhijān | tataḥ karṇo mahātejā jiṣṇuṃ prati yayau raṇe ||

Having spoken thus, the kings at once rushed toward the brahmins. Then Karṇa, blazing with great prowess, advanced in battle toward Jiṣṇu (Arjuna).
