Sukta 2
सोऽरिष्ट न मरिष्यसि न मरिष्यसि मा बिभेः । न वै तत्र म्रियन्ते नो यन्त्यधमं तमः
só ’riṣṭáḥ ná mariṣyasi ná mariṣyasi mā́ bibhēḥ | ná vai tátra mriyánte nó yanty adhámam támaḥ
Unharmed art thou: thou shalt not die, thou shalt not die—fear not. Verily there men die not, nor go they down to the nethermost darkness.
Rishi: Atharvanic tradition (Āyusya hymn-cycle).
Devata: Brahman (sacral speech) as protective force; implicitly opposed to Mṛtyu.
Chandas: Anuṣṭubh.
