Mantra 1
वर्चः प्राप्तिः। हस्तिवर्चसं प्रथतां बृहद् यशो अदित्या यत् तन्वः संबभूव । तत् सर्वे समदुर्मह्यमेतद् विश्वे देवा अदितिः सजोषाः
Let elephant-splendour spread abroad—great glory—(that splendour) of Aditi which was born forth from the body. That very power, may all (the gods) together bestow on me in greatness—this (power)—all the Gods, and Aditi, in one accord.
Mantra 2
मित्रश्च वरुणश्चेन्द्रो रुद्रश्च चेततु । देवासो विश्वधायसस्ते माञ्जन्तु वर्चसा
May Mitra and Varuṇa, and Indra and Rudra, give heed. May the Gods, sustainers of the whole, anoint me with splendour.
Mantra 3
येन हस्ती वर्चसा संबभूव येन राजा मनुष्येऽष्वप्स्व१न्तः । येन देवा देवतामग्र आयन् तेन मामद्य वर्चसाग्ने वर्चस्विनं कृणु
By that whereby the elephant became possessed of splendour; whereby the king (is splendid) among men, among steeds, within the waters; whereby the Gods attained godhead in precedence—by that, to-day, O Agni, with splendour make me splendour-possessing.

यत् ते वर्चो जातवेदो बृहद् भवत्याहुतेः । यावत् सूर्यस्य वर्च आसुरस्य च हस्तिनः । तावन्मे अश्विना वर्च आ धत्तां पुष्करस्रजा
That splendour of thine, O Jātavedas, which through oblation becomes great—as much as is the splendour of the Sun, and of the Asura, and of the elephant—so much splendour, O Aśvins, lotus-garlanded, do ye set upon me.
Mantra 5
यावच्चतस्रः प्रदिशश्चक्षुर्यावत् समश्नुते। तावत् समैत्विन्द्रियं मयि तद्धस्तिवर्चसम्
As far as the eye reaches over the four quarters, so far—wholly—let mastery (Indra-power) come into me: that elephant-splendour.
Mantra 6
हस्ती मृगाणां सुषदामतिष्ठावान् बभूव हि। तस्य भगेन वर्चसाभि षिञ्चामि मामहम्
The Elephant, verily, hath stood above the beasts, above them that are firmly set. With his good fortune, with his lustre, do I besprinkle—yea, I anoint—myself.
