Sukta 4
इदं पितृभ्यः प्र भरामि बर्हिर्जीवं देवेभ्य उत्तरं स्तृणामि । तदा रोह पुरुष मेध्यो भवन् प्रति त्वा जानन्तु पितरः परेतम्
idáṃ pitṛ́bhyaḥ prá bharāmi barhír jīváṃ devébhya úttaraṃ stṛṇāmi | tadā́ róha puruṣa medhyó bhávan práti tvā jānantu pitáraḥ parétam ||
This sacred strewing I bring forth for the Fathers; for the Gods I spread the living, higher Barhis. Then do thou ascend, O man, becoming meet for sacrifice: may the Fathers, the Departed, acknowledge thee.
