Sukta 2

यदा शृतं कृणवो जातवेदोऽथेममेनं परि दत्तात् पितृभ्यः । यदो गच्छात्यसुनीतिमेतामथ देवानां वशनीर्भवाति

yadā́ śrutáṃ kṛṇávo jātavedo 'thémám enaṃ pári dattāt pitṛ́bhyaḥ | yadó gácchāty ásunītim etā́m átha devā́nāṃ vaśanī́r bhavāti

When thou hast made him duly roasted, O Jātavedas, then hand him over, wholly, unto the Fathers. And when he goeth upon this leading-forth of breath, then cometh he under the governance of the Gods.
