श्रुतिस्मृत्युक्तमार्गेण न मातुर्विद्यते परम् । स तथेति प्रतिज्ञाय आनिनाय परिग्रहम्

śrutismṛtyuktamārgeṇa na māturvidyate param | sa tatheti pratijñāya ānināya parigraham

Menurut jalan yang diajarkan dalam Śruti dan Smṛti, tiada yang lebih luhur daripada ibu. Ia berkata “tathāstu”, berikrar, lalu menerima kewajiban yang harus dijalankan.
