न च त्याज्यं समुच्छिष्टं तेन भुंजामहे ततः । तदत्र कारणेनैव गुरुणा भाव्यमेव हि । येन त्वं यच्छसि प्राय एतत्सिद्धिर्भवेत्स्थिता
na ca tyājyaṃ samucchiṣṭaṃ tena bhuṃjāmahe tataḥ | tadatra kāraṇenaiva guruṇā bhāvyameva hi | yena tvaṃ yacchasi prāya etatsiddhirbhavetsthitā
Ini tidak patut dibuang sebagai ‘sisa’; karena itu kami menyantapnya laksana prasāda. Namun di sini pasti ada sebab yang berat—karena itulah engkau lazim mempersembahkan ini—agar upacara yang diniatkan sungguh mencapai kesempurnaannya dan tetap teguh.
